Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent PICU experience required (3 years preferred) — proven pediatric critical care RN background
• At least 1 completed previous travel assignment (travel nurse experience preferred)
• Active RN license in Tennessee or Compact State (NLC compliance required)
• BSN preferred
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• All requested time off (RTO) must be included at time of submission
• Local candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Certifications commonly valued for PICU RNs (such as PALS, BLS, ACLS) are highly regarded

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU — pediatric critical care RN duties
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Monitor patient progress, administer medications, and perform thorough assessments
• Respond to emergencies and provide advanced life support as needed
• Educate and support families throughout the care process
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital protocols (electronic charting/Cerner)
• Float between like units and campuses within 20 miles as needed
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training to stay current in pediatric critical care best practices
