Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of dietitian experience in a clinical or hospital setting
• Active state Dietitian license (RD or RDN credential preferred)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
• Ability to float within Food & Nutrition Services as needed
• Must be a travel candidate (agency/travel dietitian applicants only)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct nutrition assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans (medical nutrition therapy / MNT) for hospitalized patients
• Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and families regarding therapeutic diets and lifestyle modifications
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, nurses, pharmacists, SLPs) to optimize patient outcomes
• Perform nutrition screening, monitoring, and documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Support Food & Nutrition Services operations, including menu review, troughing, and safe feeding practices; float within department as needed
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and quality improvement initiatives
