Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1800 - $1890
• Location: Memphis, TN 38104 (Midtown – close to arts, dining, and parks)
• Position: Travel Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical RN (Travel Nursing)
• Setting: Short-Term Acute Care, Level I Trauma Center
• Unit: 9 North Tower (Medical Surgical)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: April 20, 2026
• Shift: Night Shift, 12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), 48 hours per week (4x12-hour night shifts)
• Employment Type: Travel, On-Site (Travel Nursing, Onsite RN)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical RN experience (3+ years preferred) — acute care/Level I Trauma experience required
• At least 1 completed previous travel assignment (travel nursing experience required)
• Active RN license in Tennessee or Compact RN license (NLC-compliant); pending licenses not accepted
• Experience in large hospital settings required
• ADN or BSN accepted (BSN required only for specific units)
• Cerner electronic health record (EHR) charting experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Must live at least 100 miles from facility (strict travel nursing location rule)
• First-time travelers accepted only with 3+ years recent specialty experience

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care as a Medical-Surgical RN within a Level I Trauma Center
• Deliver care in a team nursing model, collaborating with PCCs, RNs, and interdisciplinary staff
• Manage patient assignments up to a 1:7 ratio with team support
• Float between like units and campuses within 20 miles as needed (flexible travel nursing schedule)
• Participate in on-call and weekend coverage as required
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Cerner (preferred) and follow EHR best practices
• Adhere to all facility compliance, vaccination, and safety requirements
• Demonstrate professionalism and flexibility during holidays and peak census periods
