Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,110 – $2,270
- Location: Richland, WA (Zip: 99352) — Tri?Cities, Washington
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Role: Travel MRI Technologist / MRI Tech (Hospital MRI Unit)
- Shift Schedule: Variable shifts (Days, Swings, Nights) – typically 4x10-hour shifts per week (may include 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts)
- Weekend Coverage: Occasional weekends required (rotation)
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
- Setting: Hospital MRI Unit — acute care radiology
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist experience in a hospital or clinical setting
- Active Washington State MRI technologist license (required at time of submission)
- ARRT (MR) certification
- BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Experience with Epic electronic health record/charting system preferred
- Experience operating Siemens MRI equipment preferred
- Ability to work variable shifts (days, swings, nights) and occasional weekends
- References: Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last three years in a comparable specialty/setting
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI exams for all age groups (neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics) in a hospital MRI unit
- Operate MRI scanners (Siemens experience preferred) and follow MRI safety and patient safety protocols
- Prepare and administer MRI contrast agents per facility policy and monitor patients for reactions
- Start peripheral IVs when indicated and monitor patient status during imaging procedures
- Accurately document imaging procedures, findings and patient information using Epic
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including radiology, nursing, rapid response, and transport services to ensure efficient patient flow
- Maintain high standards of patient care, infection control, isolation precautions and appropriate use of PPE
- Adapt to changing schedules and provide coverage as needed for leaves and staffing needs
