Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,710 - $1,800 (Travel Nurse pay)
• Location: Clyde, NC 28721 — Western North Carolina, ~20 miles from Asheville (ideal for Asheville travel nursing jobs)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12 Hour Days (07:00-19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Setting: Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) Unit — 39 beds
• Start Dates: Multiple upcoming options (3/16, 3/30, 4/13)
• Dress Code: RN navy blue scrubs

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a compact state (required for travel RN)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg clinical experience (preferred for travel nursing assignments)
• BLS certification from American Heart Association (required)
• Ability to float to weekends as needed
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR); Paragon experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a 39-bed Med/Surg unit
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (physicians, therapists, social work) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and accurately document patient progress in the EHR
• Manage patients with common Med/Surg diagnoses such as fractures, COPD, hypertension, chest pain, CHF, and infections
• Participate in bi-weekly orientation and ongoing professional development to support travel nurse integration
