Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or valid compact RN license (NJ travel RN eligibility)
• Minimum 1 year recent experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), step-down unit, or similar acute care setting
• BLS certification required
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced hospital environment and provide high-quality PCU nursing care

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including cardiac/telemetry monitoring when applicable, and report changes promptly
• Administer medications, perform interventions, and manage post-procedure and acute care needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety and regulatory standards
