  • Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN), LTAC / Long-Term Acute Care
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,640 – $1,730
  • Location: Gainesville, FL 32610 (North Central Florida)
  • Setting: Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) facility
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 12-hour nights, 3 shifts per week (Night Shift Travel Nurse)
  • Hours per Week: 36

  • Schedule: Every other weekend required

Job Requirements

We are looking for experienced RNs who are comfortable working in an LTAC environment and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (valid in the state of assignment)
  • BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
  • ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
  • Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience; one year of ICU experience preferred
  • Ability to supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees

Responsibilities

As an LTAC RN / travel nurse, you will provide high-quality clinical care, support rehabilitation efforts, and promote patient safety and positive outcomes.

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized care plans
  • Identify patient and family teaching needs and goals; collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support rehabilitation and discharge planning
  • Provide timely, accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
  • Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and focus on education, quality outcomes, and continuity of care
  • Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from admission to improve transitions of care
  • Communicate changes in patient status to care providers to ensure patient safety and continuity
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary nursing personnel, LPNs, and CNAs
  • Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to hospital policies, procedures, and infection control practices
  • Contribute to a positive, efficient work environment through teamwork, leadership, and calm direction; assume charge responsibilities as requested after orientation
  • Maintain communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and clinical training needs
  • Pursue professional development through continuing education and self-study to maintain clinical competency
  • Perform other duties as assigned aligned with LTAC RN scope of practice
