Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Unit in Tuba City, AZ: 13-week travel nursing contract for experienced pediatric acute care RNs (BLS, ACLS, PALS required). Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,370 – $2,500 (competitive travel nurse pay)
- Setting: Pediatric Unit, Acute Care – pediatric acute care RN role
- Location: Tuba City, AZ 86045 – Northwestern Arizona; semi-desert scenery and Native American cultural experiences
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Shift: 10-hour days (8:30 AM – 7:00 PM), 6–7 shifts per pay period
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing, On-Site (Pediatric RN travel contract)
Job Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN)
- Valid, current, full and unrestricted Professional Nursing License to practice in any U.S. state, Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory (Registered Nurse / RN)
- Minimum 1 year of acute care pediatric nursing experience (pediatric RN, pediatric acute care)
- Current certifications required and maintained throughout employment:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – American Heart Association
- Complete Pediatric Trauma Care After Resuscitation (P-CAR) within 6 months of hire
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within 6 months of hire
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to pediatric patients in an acute care setting (pediatric RN responsibilities)
- Perform a variety of nursing procedures independently, following physician orders and hospital guidelines
- Support patients and families of all ages with professionalism and empathy; patient- and family-centered pediatric care
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of medical providers and staff to coordinate pediatric treatment plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to standards of care, JCAHO requirements, and hospital policies
- Participate in orientation and ongoing training as required to maintain clinical competency
