Travel CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) – Night shift in New Brunswick, NJ: 13-week travel nursing contract for experienced cardiovascular OR RNs. Join a high-acuity surgical team caring for adults undergoing open heart surgery, CABG, valve replacements, TAVR and other advanced cardiovascular procedures.

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,810 – $2,960
• Location: New Brunswick, NJ 08901 (New Jersey CVOR jobs / New Jersey nursing jobs)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (18:00 – 06:30) – night shift CVOR RN
• Hours per Week: 36
• Call Requirement: 32 hours per month (on-call rotation)
• Scrubs: Provided
• Charting System: EPIC (electronic medical record experience preferred)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of recent CVOR / Cardiothoracic OR RN experience (required)
• Active New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license (required at time of submission)
• BLS certification (required)
• CNOR certification (preferred)
• Proven scrub experience for open CVOR cases (required)
• Circulate and TAVR experience (highly preferred)
• Familiarity with Impella and HeartMate devices, ECMO, and laser lead extractions
• Ability to float to Main OR when CVOR caseload is low
• Professional references required
• Must complete facility onboarding and training modules prior to start

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care for adult patients undergoing open heart surgeries, CABG, and valve procedures (aortic, mitral, pulmonic)
• Perform both scrub and circulate roles in the CVOR, including advanced procedures such as TAVR
• Safely manage and assist with mechanical circulatory support and cardiac devices (Impella, HeartMate, ECMO)
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergent cardiovascular cases as needed
• Document patient care accurately and timely using EPIC
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Adhere to facility policies, schedule requirements, and professional standards
