Travel CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) – Night shift in New Brunswick, NJ: 13-week travel nursing contract for experienced cardiovascular OR RNs. Join a high-acuity surgical team caring for adults undergoing open heart surgery, CABG, valve replacements, TAVR and other advanced cardiovascular procedures.

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,810 – $2,960
- Location: New Brunswick, NJ 08901 (New Jersey CVOR jobs / New Jersey nursing jobs)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (18:00 – 06:30) – night shift CVOR RN
- Hours per Week: 36
- Call Requirement: 32 hours per month (on-call rotation)
- Scrubs: Provided
- Charting System: EPIC (electronic medical record experience preferred)
Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of recent CVOR / Cardiothoracic OR RN experience (required)
- Active New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license (required at time of submission)
- BLS certification (required)
- CNOR certification (preferred)
- Proven scrub experience for open CVOR cases (required)
- Circulate and TAVR experience (highly preferred)
- Familiarity with Impella and HeartMate devices, ECMO, and laser lead extractions
- Ability to float to Main OR when CVOR caseload is low
- Professional references required
- Must complete facility onboarding and training modules prior to start
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care for adult patients undergoing open heart surgeries, CABG, and valve procedures (aortic, mitral, pulmonic)
- Perform both scrub and circulate roles in the CVOR, including advanced procedures such as TAVR
- Safely manage and assist with mechanical circulatory support and cardiac devices (Impella, HeartMate, ECMO)
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergent cardiovascular cases as needed
- Document patient care accurately and timely using EPIC
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Adhere to facility policies, schedule requirements, and professional standards
