Travel Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity in Glen Burnie, MD – 13-week Cardiac Cath Lab travel contract for experienced Cath Lab RNs (2+ years). Join a dynamic interventional cardiology team serving the Baltimore area and Chesapeake Bay communities.
Job Details
- Position: Cath Lab Registered Nurse (Cath Lab RN) – Travel RN / Travel Contract
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,540 – $2,680
- Location: Glen Burnie, MD 21061 (Baltimore area / Anne Arundel County)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (06:30 – 17:00)
- Hours per Week: 40
- On-Call: 3 on-call shifts per week; 30-minute callback requirement
- Weekend Coverage: 3 single weekend call shifts per month
- Holiday Coverage: Required as scheduled (including adjacent days if applicable)
- Floating: Required within specialty and sister facilities
- Scrub Color: Provided
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Cardiac Cath Lab and critical care or ED (Cath Lab RN / Cardiac RN experience required)
- Active Maryland (MD) or Compact RN License at time of submission
- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
- Epic charting system experience required (Epic)
- Clinical skills: ability to sedate or circulate for Left heart cath, Right heart cath, STEMI, PCI, pericardiocentesis, and temporary pacing wires
- Preferred: experience with pacemakers, Bi-V, ICD implantable devices, and Inari system for PE cases
- Comfortable floating within hospital and sister facilities as needed
- Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (local candidates not accepted)
- Two satisfactory professional references from most recent employers (1 supervisor/manager and 1 charge RN)
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care for adult patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in the Cath Lab
- Sedate and circulate for procedures including Left and Right heart catheterizations, STEMIs, PCI, pericardiocentesis, and temporary pacing wires
- Monitor procedural sedation, manage airway and emergency medications, and respond to hemodynamic changes
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, administer IV vasopressors, and utilize reversal agents as needed
- Maintain infection prevention, radiation safety, and isolation precautions in an interventional cardiology setting
- Support device implantation cases (pacemaker, Bi-V, ICD) and assist with specialty PE interventions when indicated
- Float to other units and sister facilities within scope of practice and participate in holiday and weekend coverage as scheduled
- Respond promptly to on-call requirements and meet 30-minute callback time
