Job Requirements
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Florida (state PTA license required)
- At least 1 year of experience as a PTA in an inpatient or hospital setting (inpatient physical therapy / rehabilitation)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Strong communication and organizational skills for documentation and patient care coordination
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient-centered care in a hospital environment
Responsibilities
- Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for inpatient rehabilitation
- Provide therapeutic exercises, mobility training, transfers, and interventions to improve patient function
- Monitor and document patient progress in the medical record; report changes to supervising physical therapists
- Educate patients and families on therapy techniques, home exercise programs, and safe mobility strategies
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment following hospital policies and infection control
