  • Position: Registered Nurse (RN), Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Neuro PCU (Travel)
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 – $1,540 (travel nurse pay)
  • Location: Plano, TX 75075 (Dallas–Fort Worth area)
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Start Date: February 26, 2026
  • End Date: May 28, 2026
  • Shift: 12-hour nights (7P–7A), 36 hours/week
  • Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Contract RN

Required Qualifications & Certifications

  • Active RN license in Texas or compact RN license accepted
  • Minimum 1 year of PCU, progressive care, or similar acute care nursing experience
  • NIHSS certification required (neuro-focused nursing)
  • BLS / CPR certification (American Heart Association preferred)
  • Strong clinical assessment, telemetry/monitoring, and communication skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Neuro Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
  • Continuously monitor and assess patient conditions; respond promptly to changes
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately per orders
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, therapists, case management) to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, care plans, discharge goals, and recovery processes
