- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 – $2,040 (competitive travel nursing pay)
- Location: Columbus, Ohio (43210) — Columbus healthcare, Ohio nursing jobs
- Setting: Comprehensive Cancer Center, Acute Care Oncology Float Pool - MS Tele
- Contract Duration: 16 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 24, 2026)
- Shift: Night shift; 12-hour shifts; 3 shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30) — Night shift RN / night telemetry nurse
- Hours per Week: 36

Job Requirements – Registered Nurse (RN), Med/Surg Tele, Travel
- Minimum 2 years of high-acuity Med/Surg Tele experience within the last 3 years (Med/Surg Tele RN, telemetry nurse)
- At least 1 year of current specialty experience required; oncology experience preferred (Oncology Nurse, BMT/Leukemia experience beneficial)
- Travel RN experience required (previous travel nursing assignments preferred)
- Valid compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission (Registered Nurse license, Ohio nursing jobs)
- Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Experience with Epic electronic health record charting system
- 2 professional references required (at least 1 from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
Responsibilities – Med/Surg Tele RN / Oncology Travel Nurse
- Float between Med/Surg and PCU Oncology units, including BMT, Acute Leukemia, Hematology, Medical Oncology, Gynecological Oncology, Urology, Colorectal, Surgical Oncology, and Corrections Healthcare
- Provide high-quality acute care and oncology nursing with a strong focus on infection prevention and fall prevention protocols
- Manage patient ratios: PCU (1:3, can be 1:4 with mixed acuity), MS/Tele (ideally 1:4, can be 1:5)
- Perform telemetry monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias using GE telemetry systems (telemetry nurse skills)
- Utilize clinical equipment including Alaris pumps, Stryker beds, PCA pumps, NG tubes, Foley catheters, and other specialized devices
- Administer and monitor chemotherapy (as permitted by facility policy), manage cardiac drips (no titration), titrate insulin drips, access and manage ports, central lines, surgical drains, and feeding tubes
- Provide non-invasive airway management and administer blood products when indicated
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: IV Team, PT, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response, Pharmacy, and more
- Participate in bedside orientation and transition to independent practice after initial training
