Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840 - $1,940 (competitive pay for travel nurse assignments)
Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico (87505) — Santa Fe nursing jobs, New Mexico RN opportunities
Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (travel assignment)
Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) — night shift RN
Hours per Week: 36

Qualifications / Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program (Registered Nurse / RN)
Current New Mexico RN license OR Compact state RN license (New Mexico RN or compact RN)
BLS Certification (AHA)
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; med-surg or oncology experience preferred
Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the patient population served (adult med-surg/oncology)
Clear, professional communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff
Travel nurse experience and EMR documentation skills are a plus

Key Responsibilities

Provide and coordinate direct patient care on a general med-surg unit, including oncology patients
Administer medications, monitor patient status, and perform assessments during night shift
Ensure safe, efficient, high-quality nursing care consistent with unit standards
Accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) and effective handoffs
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary team
Respond to emergency/crisis situations and adapt to unexpected changes in workload or schedule
Perform physical tasks such as patient positioning, transfers, and safe operation of equipment
Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while treating staff, patients, and families with respect
