- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
- Location: Lebanon, NH 03756 (Upper Valley, New Hampshire travel nursing)
- Unit: Inpatient Surgical Unit 4D (32 beds)
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 25, 2026)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (AM/PM, 07:00–19:00 or 19:00–07:00)
- Employment Type: Travel nurse / Travel nursing job
- On-call: Yes
- Patient Ratios: 4:1 (days) / 5:1 (nights)
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg and surgical nursing experience (Med/Surg RN, surgical nurse)
- Experience with post-surgical patients following vascular, thoracic, colorectal, and general surgery
- Clinical proficiency with chest tubes, lines/tubes/drains, trachs/laryngectomies, central line care, and complex wound management
- Medication and drip management experience (examples: Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, amiodarone)
- Telemetry monitoring experience and ability to respond to changes in patient status
- Ability and willingness to float to other units and participate in on-call rotation
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to post-surgical patients with diagnoses such as ARDS, esophagectomies, Whipple procedures, and sepsis
- Monitor and maintain lines, tubes, drains, central lines, and complex wounds
- Administer and titrate IV drips as ordered and perform medication administration safely
- Deliver continuous telemetry monitoring and escalate care for changes in cardiac or respiratory status
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—surgeons, physicians, respiratory therapy, and case management—to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Float to other units as needed and participate in the unit on-call rotation
