Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250 (Travel RN)
- Setting: 10-bed Progressive Care Unit (Neuro Special Care) — PCU nurse, neuro PCU
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 25, 2026)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour shifts (PM-AM: 7:00pm–7:00am or AM-PM: 7:00am–7:00pm)
- Employment Type: Travel RN / Travel nursing

Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or similar acute care setting
- Experience with neuro and surgical patient populations preferred (neuro special care, stroke, TBI)
- Proficiency with arterial lines, ventriculostomies, subdural drains, and lumbar drains
- Hemodynamic and invasive blood pressure monitoring experience
- Familiarity with BiPAP/CPAP, trach patients on ventilators, and low-dose vasopressors
- Ability to manage complex wounds, lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with neuromuscular disorders, meningitis, stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury, and post-surgical needs
- Monitor and manage patients undergoing normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH) trials with lumbar drains
- Administer vasoactive medications, inotropes, Mannitol, and hypertonic 3% saline as needed
- Perform hemodynamic monitoring and invasive blood pressure monitoring via arterial lines
- Provide care for patients with tracheostomies, mechanical ventilation, and complex wound management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (neurosurgery, respiratory therapy, physical therapy) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide reliable coverage as part of the travel nursing assignment
