• Unit: Heart & Vascular Unit (48 beds, progressive care / step-down level of care)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (5/25/2026 – 8/22/2026)
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Day: 07:00–19:00, Night: 19:00–07:00)
• Patient Ratios: Days 1:3, Nights 1:4-5 (acuity dependent)
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse / Travel RN

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1.5 years recent PCU / progressive care / step-down or telemetry nursing experience
• Active New Hampshire RN license or Compact RN license (proof of state residency required)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification

Key Responsibilities — Cardiac PCU RN / Progressive Care Nurse

• Provide high-quality nursing care for cardio-thoracic surgical patients, telemetry/step-down patients, CHF, vascular, pulmonary hypertension, and temporary pacer management
• Care for post-operative cardiac surgery patients, managing chest tubes, drains, central lines, and complex wounds
• Administer and titrate drips and vasoactive medications (e.g., Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, amiodarone, nitro, primacor, dobutamine, dopamine, low-dose pressors, inotropes)
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring, invasive BP monitoring via arterial lines, and manage epicardial wires and external pacers
• Provide respiratory support including BiPAP/CPAP management and trach/laryngectomy care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (cardiology, EP, CV surgery, respiratory therapy, wound care) to deliver comprehensive patient care
