Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030 - $2,190
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: Day shifts, 5x8-hour (06:30 – 15:00), Monday–Friday
• Setting: Pediatric hospital and clinic (floating between SJCH and SMP locations)
• Caseload: 4–10 pediatric echocardiograms per day
• Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• On-call / Weekend Coverage: Not required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Echo Tech / Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer (pediatric echocardiographer)
• Registered Pediatric Sonographer (ARDMS) with PE certification OR CCI with RCCS certification (must be in hand at start)
• BLS required (AHA preferred)
• Proficiency scanning pediatric echocardiograms, including complex congenital heart defects
• Experience with GE systems (Vivid 95 preferred) and PACS documentation
• Pending South Carolina license accepted, but license must be active at start
• MD reference highly recommended
• First-time travel sonographers accepted — excellent travel sonographer / cardiac sonographer job for those new to assignments

Core Responsibilities

• Perform pediatric echocardiograms, including evaluations for complex congenital heart disease
• Document and enter full echo reports into PACS accurately and timely
• Collaborate with pediatric cardiology, nursing, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
• Float between hospital and outpatient clinic locations as assigned
• Participate in emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November) when needed
