Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,320 – $1,420
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Position Type: Travel Respiratory Therapist / RRT – Night Shift
- Setting: Adult Respiratory Therapy – Ashley River Tower (teaching hospital, Magnet, Level I Trauma)
- Shift: Night, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-Call: Not required
- Floating: Possible to Main Hospital (adult population only)
- Charting: Epic
- Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue
- Parking: Nights and weekends only; one-time $20 parking pass

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of adult critical care experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- NBRC RRT certification required (CRT will be considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Active South Carolina Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required at start of assignment
- Experience in adult critical care settings (ICU, CVICU, step-down, acute care)
- First-time travel respiratory therapists not accepted
- Ability to work scheduled holidays and every other weekend
- All requested time off must be submitted with application
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality respiratory care to adult patients in critical care, step-down, and acute care units
- Manage complex respiratory cases including cardiovascular ICU, heart & lung transplant care, LVAD management, ECMO, IABP, Impella support, ARDS, and septic shock
- Perform therapies and procedures consistent with RRT scope: ventilator management, ABG analysis, airway management, bronchodilator therapy, and advanced life support
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (nursing, physicians, perfusion, and allied health) to optimize patient outcomes
- Document accurately using Epic and follow hospital policies and procedures
- Float to main hospital units as needed within adult scope of practice
- Participate in emergency response teams and preparedness activities (including hurricane season June–November)
