Immediate opening: Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Night Shift in Bridgeport, CT; NICU and Level 1 Trauma critical care experience required. Provide advanced respiratory care across a Level 3 NICU and Level 1 Trauma Center.

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,930 - $2,080
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
- Shift: 4x12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:30), every other weekend and holidays as needed
- Hours per Week: 36

Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of critical care respiratory therapy experience; Level 1 Trauma experience required
- NICU experience required (Level 3 NICU)
- Travel RT experience required (travel respiratory therapist preferred)
- Draeger ventilator experience required; ventilator management and ventilator weaning experience highly preferred
- Valid Connecticut Respiratory Care Practitioner license (CRT or RRT)
- BLS certification required; ACLS, NRP, PALS, CPFT preferred
- Epic electronic charting system experience required
- Must be willing to float between campuses as needed
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- Local candidates (within 75 miles) not accepted
- 1 professional reference required; travel-ready documentation preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy and airway management to neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics in acute care and trauma settings
- Deliver advanced care in Level 3 NICU and Level 1 Trauma units as a critical care respiratory therapist
- Operate and troubleshoot Draeger ventilators and other advanced respiratory equipment
- Float to NICU, pediatric, and adult critical care units as clinical needs dictate
- Assist in high-risk deliveries, neonatal transports, and emergency airway procedures
- Perform procedures including intubation, extubation, arterial blood gas collection, chest physiotherapy, and ventilator weaning
- Administer respiratory medications and evaluate patient response
- Educate and orient students and new hires; support clinical training when needed
- Document patient care accurately using Epic charting system
