Job Details
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,150 - $2,310
- Location: Raleigh, NC 27609 (Travel Contract – Raleigh, North Carolina)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Shift: Day shift, 5 x 8-hour shifts (08:00 – 16:30)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Employment Type: Travel Contract – Ultrasound Tech / Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
- Setting: Hospital – Perinatal / Maternity Fetal Medicine Unit (Maternal-Fetal Medicine, high-risk OB)
- Orientation: Bi-weekly, 36 hours
- Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions)
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience as an Ultrasound Tech; Maternal-Fetal/OB-GYN sonographer experience preferred
- Active ARDMS OB/GYN certification (required)
- BLS certification (current)
- Experience with GE ultrasound equipment (Voluson E10 and ViewPoint preferred)
- Maternal-Fetal Medicine experience welcome — first-time MFM sonographers considered
- North Carolina state license or valid Compact license in hand
- Ability to scan 7–10 patients per day (adolescents, adults, geriatrics)
- Flu vaccine required; no exemptions or declinations accepted
- One supervisory reference within the last year required
- Epic electronic charting experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of obstetrical exam types and occasional gynecologic scans (OB/GYN sonography)
- Conduct high-risk OB and maternal-fetal medicine ultrasounds, fetal growth assessments, and Dopplers
- Support fetal antenatal testing and assist with invasive procedures as needed (e.g., amniocentesis, CVS)
- Perform fetal echocardiography screening and collaborate with maternal-fetal specialists
- Utilize GE Voluson E10 and GE ViewPoint for image acquisition and reporting
- Float to the Cary clinic or other affiliated outpatient sites as required
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary radiology and perinatal teams to ensure high-quality patient care
- Maintain accurate patient records and charting in Epic; adhere to hospital compliance and orientation policies
