Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 - $1,770
• Location: Gadsden, AL 35903 (Gadsden, Alabama – northeast Alabama travel nursing)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 4/13/2026, End: 7/13/2026)
• Shift: 12 Hour Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM), every other weekend required (Night Shift Travel RN)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel / Travel Nurse / Travel RN
• Patient Ratio: 6:1

Job Requirements

• Active Compact or Alabama RN License (Registered Nurse license required for travel nursing)
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience in acute care or hospital setting
• Cerner EMR experience preferred (electronic medical records experience)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (travel assignment eligibility)

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on the Medical/Surgical unit (Med/Surg RN duties)
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Document care accurately using Cerner EMR and maintain clinical charting standards
• Provide education, compassionate support, and discharge teaching to patients and families
• Float to other units as needed to support patient care and hospital staffing
