Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of Texas (TX) — required for Texas OT jobs
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, or ICU settings
• Experience in acute care and inpatient rehab preferred — acute care occupational therapy background is a plus
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR system is a plus; accurate documentation skills required
• Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills for working with nursing and therapy teams

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to adult and geriatric patients in the Rehab Division and acute care units
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs focused on functional recovery and patient independence
• Provide acute care occupational therapy interventions, splinting, ADL training, and discharge planning as appropriate
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (physicians, nurses, PT, SLP, case managers) to optimize patient outcomes
• May float to Acute Inpatient Rehab units as needed to support census and continuity of care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Meditech EMR and adhere to facility standards and compliance
