Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,820 - $1,920
• Location: Charleston, SC 29425 — Charleston nursing jobs / South Carolina travel nurse
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
• Shift Options: Day shifts; 4x10-hour (06:30 – 17:00) or 3x12-hour (06:30 – 19:00), Monday–Friday
• No weekends, no major holidays, no call required
• Setting: Ambulatory Operating Room (Rutledge Tower – 9 ORs) — ambulatory surgery center experience

Qualifications & Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN / perioperative nurse experience
• Travel nursing experience required.
• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact RN license (license in hand preferred; pending considered with proof of application)
• BLS certification required
• NBSTSA certification required
• Experience with Epic charting system
• Radiation badge provided by parent company
• Preferred experience: Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology
• First-time travelers not accepted

Responsibilities (Operating Room / Perioperative)

• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care in a busy ambulatory OR environment
• Assist with a wide range of surgical procedures: joint replacements, plastics, surgical oncology, ENT, ophthalmology, GU, GYN, and more
• Maintain strict infection control and patient safety protocols, including laser and radiation safety
• Handle specimen labeling, universal protocol (time out), wound management, and sterile technique
• Float within the perioperative facility as needed and support ambulatory surgery center operations
• Precept and mentor care team members in the operating room when required
• Participate in emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)
