Job Details

  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 – $1,770
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
  • Shift: Night shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30)
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Patient Ratio: 4:1
  • Orientation: 24 hours

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience (ED/ER nursing)
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas (compact licenses accepted per state rules)
  • Required certifications: TNCC, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS (AHA preferred; military acceptable)
  • Epic electronic health record (EHR) experience required
  • Community hospital / emergency department experience required
  • Must pass Dysrhythmia Exam during compliance (two attempts allowed)
  • Seasonal flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
  • Ability to care for all patient age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a busy ED and at satellite ER locations across the Southlake/Coppell/North Richland Hills service area
  • Triage, assess, and manage patients with a wide range of emergency diagnoses, including trauma, stroke, STEMI, psychiatric emergencies, and multisystem organ dysfunction
  • Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, perform 12-lead EKG/ECG interpretation, and respond to STEMI and stroke alerts
  • Administer emergency medications, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation, and blood products per ED protocols
  • Perform and manage advanced procedures common in emergency and critical care: intubation, chest tube care, central line management, arterial lines, ICP monitoring
  • Obtain and interpret ABGs and other diagnostic tests; collaborate with Radiology and Lab for timely results
  • Apply isolation precautions/PPE and enforce infection control best practices
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy, Social Services, and Pharmacy to coordinate patient care
  • Float between the main hospital and satellite ERs as assigned by leadership to support patient flow across the DFW network
