Job Details – Albuquerque Travel Nursing

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 – $1,540 (Travel RN / W2)
• Location: Albuquerque, NM 87102 — New Mexico travel nursing opportunity
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 13, 2026 – July 13, 2026)
• Shift: Night shift, 12-hour shifts (18:30 – 07:00) — Night Shift RN
• Hours per Week: Option of 36 or 48 hours
• Unit: Med/Surg 8th Floor (Stroke and Surgery patients) — Medical-Surgical RN / Med-Surg RN
• Patient Ratio: 6:1
• Orientation: 24 hours onsite
• Travel Contract Type: W2 travel nurse

Med/Surg RN Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN (Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse) experience
• Active Registered Nurse license (NM or Compact; must be obtained prior to start) — New Mexico nursing license preferred
• BLS (American Heart Association) and NIHSS certification required
• Experience with Epic charting system (Epic EMR / Epic charting)
• Comfortable caring for adult and geriatric patients, including stroke and post-operative populations
• Ability to float to similar units as needed within scope
• Scrub color: Any (no logos)

Responsibilities – Medical-Surgical / Telemetry

• Provide high-quality nursing care to stroke and post-surgical patients as a Med/Surg RN
• Monitor telemetry with central monitoring tech support available 24/7 (Telemetry RN experience helpful)
• Administer medications including heparin, insulin, and blood products
• Manage IVs, PICC lines, feeding tubes, colostomy/ileostomy care, and surgical drains
• Perform wound care and operate wound vac devices
• Activate and work with rapid response/code teams as needed
• Float to similar units within facility scope based on staffing needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy (PT), respiratory therapy (RT), pharmacy, and social services
• Adhere to isolation precautions and PPE protocols
