Required Qualifications – Cardiac Stepdown RN (Travel)

• Minimum 18 months recent Cardiac Stepdown or Neuro Stepdown RN experience (travel or permanent experience accepted)
• Active PERMANENT Ohio RN license or Compact State RN license in hand (Ohio travel RN)
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or American Red Cross), ACLS, NIHSS
• One supervisory reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty
• COVID-19 and seasonal Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation

Core Responsibilities – Cardiac Stepdown / Neuro Stepdown RN

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac and neuro stepdown patients, including monitoring and early recognition of clinical changes
• Assess patient condition, interpret telemetry/ECG rhythms, and escalate concerns promptly
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and evidence-based treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (MDs, APNs, RTs, PT/OT, case management) to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic health record
• Participate in orientation, competency validation (ECG rhythm recognition, safeMedicate), and ongoing professional development
• Support unit staffing needs, including working at least every other holiday as required by facility policy
