PICU RN Travel Nurse – Charleston, SC (13-week). Seeking an experienced Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse with PALS, BLS, and EPIC experience for nights at a Level I Trauma Center. Travel Nurse Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,640 – $1,730

• Facility: Level I Trauma Center • Teaching Facility • Magnet Hospital
• Unit: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) — 28 beds
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour (19:00 – 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Patient Ratios: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 (mixed ICU and Stepdown patients)
• Charting / EMR: EPIC

Pediatric ICU RN Requirements

• Minimum 1 year PICU RN experience required (2 years preferred) — Pediatric ICU nurse / critical care nurse
• Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license
• BLS and PALS certifications (AHA only)
• Experience with ECMO and CRRT preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system preferred
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, family-centered care to pediatric patients (ages 0–18) with diverse medical and surgical diagnoses
• Manage ventilatory and cardiac support including ECMO/CRRT, renal/peritoneal dialysis, and other advanced therapies
• Perform critical procedures and advanced monitoring: central line care, intubation support, wound management, medication administration
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams (respiratory therapy, dietitians, pharmacy, rapid response teams) to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EPIC (electronic medical record)
• Participate in emergency response teams and seasonal preparedness (hurricane season June–November)
• Float to other units as needed while staying within scope of practice
