Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,930 - $2,030
• Location: Artesia, NM 88210 — New Mexico nursing jobs / travel RN opportunity
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (March 26, 2026 – June 25, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7pm–7am)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Rotation: May be required
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs

Job Requirements (Med/Surg RN / Travel RN)

• Active RN license in good standing
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 3 years of MS/Tele experience required
• PCU/Stepdown (progressive care) experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Experience titrating drips (insulin, amiodarone, levophed)
• LTAC experience is a plus
• First-time travel nurses welcome

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical and PCU patients as a Med/Surg RN / Travel RN
• Rotate through the PCU/stepdown area as needed based on competency
• Accurately read and interpret telemetry strips using Mindray cardiac monitors
• Titrate and manage IV drips per protocol and physician orders
• Maintain airway support and manage respiratory equipment, including intubated patients as appropriate
• Collaborate with nurse aides (1:8 ratio) for patient care tasks including vitals, ADLs, intake/output, transfers, and hygiene
• Perform point-of-care testing including AccuChecks
• Complete department orientation (1–2 days with a preceptor) and required onboarding modules (up to 20 hours; up to 6 hours billable)
• Chart accurately using CPSI/TruBridge (Evident) electronic health record
• Help fill schedule gaps and demonstrate flexibility to support patient care needs
