Registered Nurse (RN) – LTAC Night Shift travel nursing job in Battle Creek, MI. 13-week travel contract for experienced bedside RNs focusing on rehabilitation and long-term acute care.

Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,890 – $1,990
• Location: Battle Creek, MI 49017 (Battle Creek healthcare / Michigan nursing jobs)
• Setting: Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) – travel nursing
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (Night Shift RN / night nursing)
• Employment Type: Travel

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Michigan RN license or compact license preferred)
• BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• Minimum 1 year of bedside clinical experience (2 years highly desired)
• Experience in LTAC, long-term acute care, or similar acute care/rehabilitation settings preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and initiate discharge planning from admission
• Communicate changes in patient status to care providers to ensure continuity and patient safety
• Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
• Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to hospital policies and safety procedures
• Contribute to a positive team environment and participate in unit team-building activities
• Maintain professional growth through continuing education and self-study
