Join our dedicated pharmacy team on Nantucket Island for a rewarding 13-week travel pharmacist assignment. This clinical pharmacist role combines hands-on hospital pharmacy practice with the unique lifestyle of Nantucket, MA (02554). Ideal candidates are licensed in Massachusetts, experienced with EPIC and Omnicell, and comfortable participating in on-call rotations.
Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030 - $2,190
- Location: Nantucket, MA (02554) — travel pharmacy job in Massachusetts
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 25, 2026)
- Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday (between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM)
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- On-Call: Rotating weeknights, weekends, and holidays with other staff
- Shared Housing: Provided at no cost — travel pharmacist benefit
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience; travel pharmacist and clinical pharmacist experience preferred
- Active Massachusetts Pharmacy license required (pharmacist license – MA)
- Familiarity with EPIC and Omnicell systems preferred
- Experience with sterile compounding and aseptic technique (USP standards knowledge preferred)
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Completion of required onboarding credentials and health screenings prior to start
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical pharmacy services and ensure safe medication management across inpatient units
- Oversee pharmacy operations including medication dispensing, inventory control, and regulatory compliance
- Perform sterile compounding and maintain high standards of aseptic technique and medication safety
- Utilize EPIC and Omnicell for medication orders, medication administration records, and inventory management
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize pharmacotherapy and patient outcomes
- Participate in on-call coverage and support pharmacy continuity during evenings, weekends, and holidays
