Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,550 - $1,630 (competitive travel RN pay)
• Location: Nashville, TN (37207) — Nashville nursing jobs, Tennessee travel nurse opportunity
• Setting: 34-bed Med/Surg Tele unit, Level 1 Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (March 30, 2026 – June 29, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per schedule
• Uniform: Navy scrubs

Job Requirements (Med/Surg Tele RN Qualifications)

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele) nursing experience
• Experience with Meditech documentation preferred
• Ability and willingness to float to other departments as needed (flexible team player)

Responsibilities (Travel Nurse / Clinical Duties)

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to a diverse Med/Surg Telemetry patient population
• Monitor telemetry and cardiac rhythms; respond to changes in patient condition promptly
• Maintain a patient ratio of approximately 6:1 while ensuring safe and effective care
• Collaborate closely with unit secretaries, patient care technicians (PCTs), physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
• Thoroughly document patient care and assessments using Meditech or the hospital's EHR
• Adhere to hospital policies, unit protocols, and standards of care for a Level 1 Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center
• Float to other units as required to meet hospital staffing needs and provide continuity of care
• Contribute to a positive patient experience through strong communication and compassionate clinical care
