• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1910 - $2010
• Location: Akron, OH 44304 — nursing jobs in Akron, Ohio
• Setting: Med/Surg Telemetry, 3 North Unit (epilepsy monitoring, medical overflow)
• Assignment Duration: 14 weeks (April 5, 2026 – July 11, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg Tele RN or telemetry nurse experience
• ASN or BSN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Active RN license (Nursys verification required) — Ohio travel nursing jobs candidates welcome
• Current ACLS and BLS (AHA) certifications
• NIH Stroke Certification
• Recent charge RN experience (must be documented on resume)
• EPIC EMR experience within the last 12 months
• Clinical skills: phlebotomy, IV start and IV management
• Willingness to float to other units as needed
• Solid black scrubs required
• Compliance with onboarding health and professional requirements (MMR, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella, TB, drug screen, background check, etc.)
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to Med/Surg Telemetry and epilepsy monitoring patients
• Monitor and manage telemetry patients in a fast-paced 17-bed unit
• Draw blood, start and manage IVs, and perform nursing procedures per unit protocol
• Function as charge nurse for some shifts; demonstrate leadership and delegation skills
• Collaborate with physicians, neurologists, techs, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to other units as required to support clinical operations and patient care needs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR
• Adhere to hospital and unit policies, including dress code and safety protocols
