- Job Type: Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Contract
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,420 – $1,530
- Setting: Hospital – Respiratory Therapy / Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) – Inpatient
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour (18:45 – 07:15), with holiday rotation
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: Must be able to float to all hospital areas, including Labor & Delivery
- Charting: Epic

Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years recent critical care experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Travel respiratory therapist experience required (prior travel RRT assignments)
- Active South Carolina RCP license required at time of start
- National certifications required: NBRC (RRT), BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
- Experience with Epic electronic charting system
- Community hospital experience required; Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
- Must be able to float within scope of practice to all areas of the hospital
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Not local to Florence, SC (must be located outside a 60-mile radius)
- First-time travelers not accepted
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care across the lifespan: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Perform pulmonary function tests (PFTs) and pulmonary diagnostics
- Manage mechanical ventilation and respiratory support: BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, and invasive ventilation
- Assist with intubation, extubation, airway placement, suctioning, sputum collection, and tracheostomy care
- Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and basic EKGs to support clinical decisions
- Administer inhaled medications (Albuterol, Ipratropium/Atrovent, Flovent, etc.) and aerosol therapies
- Troubleshoot ventilator/high-pressure alarms and participate in ventilator weaning
- Provide neonatal and pediatric critical care support and assist in high-risk deliveries (NICU support)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nursing, IV team, physical therapy, rapid response, and pharmacy
- Document care accurately in Epic and follow hospital policies and respiratory care protocols
