Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- NBRC certification and BLS required – active and in hand at time of submission
- Active Ohio Respiratory Therapist license required (must be current at submission)
- CRT or RRT accepted; RRT preferred for hospital respiratory therapy roles
- Must be nicotine-free (facility is smoke-free); negative 10 Panel + Nicotine (Cotinine) drug screen required within 12 months of start
- COVID-19 and seasonal flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Two professional references required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty within the past 12 months
- Include all relevant work history, including any Cleveland Clinic assignments, with your submission
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services to patients in a hospital setting as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Administer prescribed respiratory treatments and therapies, including oxygen therapy and aerosolized medications
- Perform ventilator management, airway management, and monitoring of patients requiring respiratory support
- Obtain and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs), document patient response, and adjust therapy per protocol
- Monitor patient progress, document interventions, and communicate with multidisciplinary clinical teams
- May float to other Cleveland Clinic facilities or affiliate hospitals as needed
- Work weekends and participate in orientation and required annual modules
- Maintain compliance with all facility, regulatory, and infection control requirements
