Job Details — Endoscopy / GI Lab Travel RN

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,750 - $1,840
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital – Endoscopy / GI Lab (Endoscopy Nurse, GI Nurse)
• Location: Orangeburg, SC 29118 — Orangeburg, South Carolina (South Carolina nursing jobs, Orangeburg SC travel nursing)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 21, 2026 – July 21, 2026)
• Shift: Day Shift, 5x8-Hour (06:00 - 14:30)
• Hours Per Week: 40
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend, plus weekend call
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Charting: Epic (Epic charting experience required)
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Parking: Free

Required Qualifications — Endoscopy RN / Travel RN

• Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy RN experience required (GI Lab experience preferred)
• Travel RN experience required — first-time travelers not accepted
• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact RN license (must be in hand prior to start)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Key Responsibilities — Endoscopy Nurse / GI Registered Nurse

• Provide direct patient care in the Endoscopy/GI Lab, including pre-procedure assessment, intra-procedure assistance, and post-procedure recovery
• Assist with advanced procedures: bronchoscopies, ERCPs, tracheostomy care, and PEG tube placements
• Operate and troubleshoot specialized endoscopy/GI equipment (lithotripters, endobronchial ultrasound, balloon dilators, forceps, polyp snares)
• Administer and monitor conscious sedation and anesthesia care in accordance with facility policies
• Obtain and interpret 12-lead EKG/ECG and monitor patients during procedural sedation
• Start and maintain IVs, manage airway support, and ensure safe recovery from sedation
• Accurately label specimens and complete documentation in Epic (procedural and peri-procedural charting)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, rapid response, OR, and transport services
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide weekend coverage as required
