• Shift: 8-hour day shifts (7:00am – 3:30pm), every other weekend/holiday

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of LPN experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting
• Graduate of an accredited LPN program
• Active, unencumbered Massachusetts LPN license (LPN license in MA required)
• BLS/CPR and AED Program Certification
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Strong teamwork, leadership, and communication skills for long-term care nursing
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and meet all physical and sensory requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care facility, ensuring high-quality resident-centered care
• Supervise and support nursing assistants and direct care staff on a daily basis
• Complete and maintain accurate recordkeeping for admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physicians (medication administration)
• Perform clinical procedures including catheterization, tube feedings, suctioning, dressing changes, and related skilled nursing tasks
• Collect specimens and perform routine point-of-care and laboratory tests
• Take and document vital signs and other resident assessments
• Participate in facility surveys, inspections, and quality improvement activities as requested
• Provide health education and instruction to residents and family members
• Maintain resident confidentiality and uphold residents' rights in all aspects of care
• Contribute to a positive, compassionate, and respectful care environment for seniors and long-term care residents
