• Unit: 2 East – 34-bed Cardiac PCU / Telemetry (stroke overflow)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years RN experience in PCU, Telemetry, or similar acute care setting (Registered Nurse experience)
• Active RN license (Nursys verification required); compact licenses accepted per state rules
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke certifications required
• Accredited nursing degree (ACEN or CCNE)
• Epic EMR experience within the past year (must be shown on resume)
• Willingness to float to other units as needed
• Maximum of 7 days requested time off (RTO) allowed; submit during application

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a cardiac PCU/Telemetry stroke overflow unit (Telemetry RN responsibilities)
• Monitor and manage cardiac drips, telemetry monitoring, and acute cardiac/neurologic changes
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
• Float to other units as needed to support overall patient care and staffing needs
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic EMR (electronic medical record)
• Adhere to unit staffing ratios (typically 1:4, occasionally 1:5) and hospital policies
• Participate in unit competency exams, skills checklists, and mandatory training as required
