Med/Surg Telemetry RN (Travel Nurse) – 13-week night-shift contract in Alabaster, AL (35007). Seeking experienced Registered Nurses with telemetry and Med/Surg skills.

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 - $1,770
• Location: Alabaster, Alabama (Alabaster, AL 35007) — Alabama nursing jobs / healthcare jobs
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:45 - 07:15), every other weekend
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit: 3rd Floor, Med/Surg Telemetry (51 beds)
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Equipment / Skills: Telemetry monitoring, IV pumps, BiPAP
• EMR: EPIC
• Dress Code: Navy scrubs (no nail polish)

Minimum Qualifications (Job Requirements)

• Active RN license (compact license accepted per state rules)
• BLS (AHA)
• NIHSS (AHA)
• Minimum 1 year Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required; 2+ years preferred
• Ability to float to similar units within scope, including facilities within a 25-mile radius

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality bedside nursing care to Med/Surg and Telemetry patients
• Continuously monitor and assess patients using telemetry and clinical assessment skills
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and operate BiPAP and other respiratory support devices
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care and clinical findings in EPIC EMR
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and unit dress code
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care across Med/Surg, Ortho, and Telemetry case mixes
