• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 – $1,890
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 13, 2026 – July 13, 2026)
• Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour (06:45 – 19:15)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Setting: Cardiac/Pulmonary Telemetry Unit (Stepdown Cardiac) — Telemetry Nurse / PCU RN role
• Patient Ratios: 4-5 patients per nurse

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of PCU, stepdown, or telemetry nursing experience required
• Active RN license in Tennessee or Compact State (must be valid before start)
• AHA BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS certification required
• Epic EMR/charting experience within the last 12 months (must be detailed on profile)
• COVID-19 and seasonal Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions for COVID-19 only)
• Able to float to other med-surg/telemetry units or ICU (low acuity) as needed
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred, but local candidates and first-time travel nurses are welcome
• Must be available to work holidays and 3 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for cardiac telemetry and post-cath lab patients as a Progressive Care/Telemetry Nurse
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and dysrhythmias; respond to cardiac events and rapid changes in patient condition
• Titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips per protocol
• Care for ventilated patients, manage oxygen therapy, and perform non-invasive airway support
• Administer blood products and IV insulin protocols; manage central, PICC, and peripheral lines
• Perform wound care and manage surgical drains, chest tubes, and feeding tubes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV team, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and rapid response/code teams
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
• Participate in rapid response and code situations as needed
• Maintain isolation precautions and follow PPE protocols for patient and staff safety
