Travel Ultrasound Technologist (OB/GYN) – Raleigh, NC (27609): ARDMS OB/GYN required. 13-week travel sonographer contract focused on high-risk maternal-fetal medicine and prenatal ultrasound in a hospital perinatal unit.

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,150 - $2,310

- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
- Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 – 16:30)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Employment Type: Travel Contract (travel ultrasound tech / travel sonographer)
- Setting: Hospital – Perinatal / Maternity Fetal Medicine Unit (maternal-fetal medicine)
- Orientation: Bi-weekly, 36 hours
- Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions)
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist / Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Maternal-Fetal / OB preferred)
- Valid ARDMS OB/GYN certification required
- BLS certification (current)
- Experience with GE ultrasound equipment, including GE Voluson E10 and GE ViewPoint
- Compact license or North Carolina (NC) license must be in hand prior to start
- Ability to scan 7–10 patients per day (mix of OB exam types and occasional GYN scans); experience in prenatal ultrasound and high-risk OB scanning
- Epic charting system experience preferred (documentation of sonography findings)
- One supervisory reference within the last year required
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions or declinations accepted)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maternal-fetal and OB/GYN ultrasound exams for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients (prenatal ultrasound and obstetric sonography)
- Conduct high-risk OB scans, including first-, second-, and third-trimester assessments and targeted maternal-fetal imaging
- Operate GE Voluson E10 and GE ViewPoint systems to acquire high-quality diagnostic images
- Document sonographic findings accurately in Epic and maintain detailed prenatal imaging records
- Collaborate with radiology, maternal-fetal medicine physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams to support patient care
- May be asked to float to the Cary clinic as needed (local travel within the Raleigh/Cary area)
- Participate in bi-weekly orientation and complete required modules; maintain compliance with facility and travel agency requirements
