• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,370 - $2,500 (competitive pay for travel RN/CVOR travel nurse)

• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 28, 2026 – July 28, 2026)
• Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (06:00 – 16:30)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Employment Type: Travel (CVOR travel nurse / travel RN)
• Weekend Call: Required (4 shifts per 6-week schedule)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR RN experience or perioperative experience in a cardiovascular operating room
• Open-heart surgery experience required (cardiac surgery nurse skills: CABG, valve replacement)
• Must be able to scrub and circulate heart and vascular cases, and circulate for structural heart cases only
• Active RN license (Maryland or compact state license accepted)
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• First-time travel nurses accepted
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Strong communication, teamwork, and infection-control practices for OR and perioperative settings

Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate for heart and vascular surgeries, including CABG, TAVR, MAZE, valve replacements, aneurysm repairs, and carotid procedures (circulate for structural heart cases only)
• Provide perioperative patient care for adults with diagnoses such as CAD, Afib/Aflutter, PVD, AAA, and carotid stenosis
• Prepare and manage sterile fields, instruments, and specialized cardiothoracic equipment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, respiratory, physical therapy, perfusion, and pharmacy
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control, patient safety, and OR protocols
• Participate in scheduled weekend and weekday call rotations
• Complete required orientation, competency checks, and facility-specific modules promptly
