• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 - $1,540
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Position: Travel PCU Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care / Stepdown / Telemetry RN
• Setting: PCU / Stepdown Unit (6th Floor)
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour days)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse
• Location: Plano, TX 75075 (Plano healthcare / Dallas-Fort Worth area)
• Weekend Requirement: Rotating
• Call Requirement: Yes
• Documentation System: Meditech (preferred experience)
• Floating Policy: As needed

Job Requirements – PCU RN / Telemetry RN

• Minimum 2 years of hospital experience and at least 2 years of specialty experience in PCU / Stepdown / Telemetry
• Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license required (temporary licenses not accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with Meditech electronic documentation preferred
• Professional appearance: Royal Blue scrubs required; no artificial nails; clean and neat hair; covered tattoos; no visible piercings except ears

Responsibilities – PCU Nursing Duties

• Provide high-quality progressive care nursing to adult patients in the PCU / Stepdown unit as a Travel Nurse (PCU RN / Stepdown RN)
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, interpret telemetry, administer medications, and document care accurately in Meditech
• Implement nursing care plans, perform focused assessments, and escalate changes in condition to the interdisciplinary team
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and other clinical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to other units as needed based on hospital policy and assignment needs
• Participate in rotating weekend shifts and fulfill on-call requirements per unit schedule
• Adhere to hospital attendance, dress code, and professional standards
