- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 - $1,540
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Position: Travel PCU Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care / Stepdown / Telemetry RN
- Setting: PCU / Stepdown Unit (6th Floor)
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour days)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse
- Location: Plano, TX 75075 (Plano healthcare / Dallas-Fort Worth area)
- Weekend Requirement: Rotating
- Call Requirement: Yes
- Documentation System: Meditech (preferred experience)
- Floating Policy: As needed
Job Requirements – PCU RN / Telemetry RN
- Minimum 2 years of hospital experience and at least 2 years of specialty experience in PCU / Stepdown / Telemetry
- Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license required (temporary licenses not accepted)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with Meditech electronic documentation preferred
- Professional appearance: Royal Blue scrubs required; no artificial nails; clean and neat hair; covered tattoos; no visible piercings except ears
Responsibilities – PCU Nursing Duties
- Provide high-quality progressive care nursing to adult patients in the PCU / Stepdown unit as a Travel Nurse (PCU RN / Stepdown RN)
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, interpret telemetry, administer medications, and document care accurately in Meditech
- Implement nursing care plans, perform focused assessments, and escalate changes in condition to the interdisciplinary team
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and other clinical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Float to other units as needed based on hospital policy and assignment needs
- Participate in rotating weekend shifts and fulfill on-call requirements per unit schedule
- Adhere to hospital attendance, dress code, and professional standards
