Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,820 – $1,910
• Location: Wichita Falls, TX 76301 (Wichita Falls healthcare, North Texas travel nursing)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
• Shift: Mid shift, 12-hour nights (13:00 – 01:00)
• Schedule: Alternating 36/48 hour weeks (84 hours biweekly with 72 hour guarantee)
• Setting: Level II Trauma Center, Emergency Department (ED nurse, ER nursing)
• Patient Ratios: 4:1
• Orientation: 16 hours

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience (2 years accepted if at a high-volume/trauma facility)
• Previous travel nursing experience required (travel RN, travel ER RN)
• Current RN license (must be in-hand before start)
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to complete required labs within 72 hours of offer acceptance
• Not accepting candidates within 50 miles of facility (local candidates excluded)

Core Responsibilities (ER Nursing / Emergency Department)

• Deliver high-quality emergency care to neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Perform triage, rapid assessment, and treatment for trauma, stroke, STEMI, burns, respiratory emergencies, and psychiatric crises
• Administer emergency medications, IV vasopressors, and blood products; manage ventilated patients
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs and arterial blood gases
• Manage central and arterial lines and care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Maintain strict adherence to isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and ED safety guidelines
• Participate in block scheduling and provide weekend coverage as required
