• Shift: Day shifts, 4x8-hour (07:00 - 15:00) with flexible start times (6:00 AM–6:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Setting: Short Term Acute Care / Level II Trauma Center — acute care dietitian role
• Patient Load: 8-10 adult inpatients/day
• Float: Will float between Sacred Heart Medical Center and Holy Family Hospital (advance notice provided)
• Parking: Free

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient adult Registered Dietitian experience within the past 6 months (internship time excluded)
• Current Washington DOH-CD license and active RD or RDN credential
• Clinical experience with enteral and parenteral nutrition (TPN) and proficiency in writing nutrition orders
• Experience with Epic electronic health record (Epic charting/documentation)
• Ability to float between facilities and adapt to multiple acute care environments
• Minimum 2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable inpatient specialty/setting

Key Responsibilities (Clinical Nutrition & Inpatient Care)

• Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments and provide individualized medical nutrition therapy (MNT) for adult inpatients
• Develop and implement nutrition care plans for diagnoses including diabetes, heart failure, kidney disease, cancer, and other complex conditions
• Write and manage orders for enteral feedings, tube feedings, and parenteral nutrition (TPN)
• Conduct nutrition-focused physical exams and ongoing reassessments
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Epic
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams — nursing, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, social services, and physicians — to optimize patient outcomes
• Manage daily patient caseload of 8–10 adults and triage nutrition priorities in a fast-paced acute care setting
