- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1400 - $1500

- Setting: Hospital – Occupational Therapy Unit (LTC / Rehabilitation)

Qualifications – Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience in Long Term Care (LTC), inpatient rehab, or hospital-based occupational therapy
- Active OTA/COTA license in the state of Missouri
- Strong teamwork and collaboration with Occupational Therapists (OTs), nursing, and interdisciplinary healthcare staff
- Proficiency with patient documentation and electronic health records (EHR) / OT documentation
- Skills in ADL training, transfers/gait training, adaptive equipment, positioning, and therapeutic activity instruction
Key Responsibilities – OTA / Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Assist Occupational Therapists in planning and implementing individualized therapy sessions to improve patient mobility, function, and independence
- Provide ADL retraining, therapeutic exercises, transfers, gait training, and use of adaptive equipment for patients in LTC and rehab
- Monitor and encourage patient progress, documenting outcomes and care plans in the EHR
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home safety, adaptive strategies, and caregiver training to support discharge goals
- Collect and update patient medical history, progress notes, and assist with outcome measures
- Maintain treatment areas, equipment, and supplies in safe, clean working order
- Support patient-centered care and quality improvement initiatives within the occupational therapy team
