- Assignment Duration: 17 weeks (April 13, 2026 – August 10, 2026)
- Role: Travel Cath Lab RN / Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (diagnostic & interventional)
- Setting: Acute Care Cardiac Cath Lab (4-room lab: 2 cath, 1 IR, 1 EP)
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift: 10-hour days (7:00am – 5:30pm or 7:30am – 6:00pm), 4 weekday shifts per week
- On-Call: 1–2 days per week and every 4th weekend (30-minute response time required)
- Orientation: 1–2 weeks floor-specific orientation
Job Requirements
- Active RN license (Georgia or compact state) — must be eligible to practice in Georgia
- Minimum 2 years recent Cath Lab RN experience in diagnostic and interventional labs required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) required
- Ability to manage high-volume, fast-paced cath lab shifts with quick turnover
- IR experience preferred; EP lab experience a plus
- Meditech EMR and GE MacLab experience preferred
- No first-time travelers — experienced travel nurses only
Responsibilities
- Circulate during cardiac catheterization procedures and support diagnostic/interventional cases
- Assist with 15–20 cases per day while maintaining patient safety and procedural efficiency
- Respond to on-call duties within 30 minutes for cath lab and IR coverage
- Collaborate with RCIS/RTs who monitor and scrub; work as part of the interventional cardiology team
- Document care accurately using Meditech EMR and operate GE MacLab recording station as needed
- Adhere to professional standards and department dress code (solid-color scrubs)
- Participate in rotating day-off schedule and cover holidays as required
