Job Details

• Location: Rochester, NY 14642 (Western New York)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,090 - $2,200
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 25, 2026)
• Shift Schedule: 3 x 12-hour rotating shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights), weekend blocks, on-call/callback as needed
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse — On-site Pediatric Cardiac ICU

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience (pediatric cardiac or pediatric ICU experience preferred)
• Active RN License (New York State only)
• Pediatric Cardiac Care experience required — experience with congenital and acquired cardiac conditions
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
• PALS Certification (American Heart Association)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, high-quality critical care to pediatric patients with congenital and acquired cardiac conditions in a Pediatric Cardiac ICU setting
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, respiratory therapy, and allied health) to coordinate medical/surgical treatment and long-term follow-up care
• Respond to on-call and callback needs and serve as charge nurse per unit requirements
• Utilize specialized pediatric cardiac training to manage complex and rare congenital cardiac disorders and ensure best practices in critical care nursing
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold unit policies, patient safety standards, and evidence-based pediatric cardiac care protocols
