Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,580 – $1,700
• Location: Okeechobee, FL 34972 (Lake Okeechobee area)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 13, 2026 – July 13, 2026)
• Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (8-hour days)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Setting: Hospital – inpatient and outpatient adult rehabilitation

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Florida
• BLS certification (AHA preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in hospital inpatient/outpatient or ortho/neuro rehab
• Proficient typing and timely completion of clinical documentation
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced hospital setting and collaborating with COTAs and interdisciplinary team members
• Experience with Meditech or similar EHR systems is a plus

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive inpatient and outpatient evaluations and treatment for adult patients (ortho and neuro caseloads)
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on functional outcomes and upper extremity rehabilitation
• Provide skilled interventions using standard modalities, including estim, ultrasound, and infrared as appropriate
• Complete progress notes, discharge summaries, and other required documentation in a timely manner (Meditech)
• Collaborate with OTs, COTAs, nursing, and other disciplines to ensure coordinated patient care
• Flexible schedule to include Tuesday through Saturday coverage as needed
