Travel Nurse Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570 – $1,650
• Location: Chattanooga, TN 37404 — Chattanooga healthcare jobs, Tennessee nursing jobs
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit: Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU), 12 beds — critical care RN / ICU nurse role
• Patient Ratio: 1 RN : 2 patients (may vary with acuity)
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Dress Code: Navy scrubs

Job Requirements — ICU Travel Nurse

• Active RN license (TN license or Compact/Multi-state preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience; cardiac critical care required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required; CCRN strongly preferred
• Ability to care for post-open heart patients (minimum 1–2 days postop)
• Experience with Impella heart pump and CRRT preferred
• Willingness to float to PCU/Medical-Surgical units as needed

ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill patients in the SICU as a critical care RN / ICU nurse
• Perform advanced procedures including intubations, CRRT, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Utilize advanced critical care equipment (Impella, Hemosphere monitoring platform)
• Respond to rapid response and code blue situations as part of the multidisciplinary critical care team
• Maintain clear communication with patients and families, explaining care plans and medications
• Participate in flexible scheduling, including a minimum of 3 weekend shifts per month
• Ensure timely response to patient needs and call lights while documenting care in Meditech
